MEET the team
Nichole Sledge
team member
“I have often found myself in spaces where people were being misunderstood—students seen only through behavior, adults overwhelmed by systems, families trying to hold things together, and staff doing their best without always having the tools or support they needed.
This work gives me a way to help build something more caring, practical, and connected.”
Nichole’s Superpower
If Nichole could choose one superpower, it would be the ability to help people see their own potential clearly—especially when stress, fear, or past experiences cloud their view. She would use this power to help others recognize their strengths, make meaningful choices, and move forward with confidence.
Professional Background
As a Program Specialist, Nichole Sledge operates at the intersection of people, systems, and possibility. Her journey began at Southern University (HBCU), where she first studied finance, sparking a lifelong interest in how foundational structures impact people. Today, her multi-disciplinary background includes a Bachelor’s degree in Technical Management (Concentration in Finance), a Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT), and a Master of Public Administration (MPA). Deepening her commitment to human growth, Nichole is also a Certified Behavior Technician currently pursuing her Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) credentials. This unique blend of education, behavioral support, finance, and systems design allows her to bridge the gap between institutional strategy and human connection, approaching school community support from both a deeply human and highly structural perspective.
Philosophy & Impact
Nichole’s work is rooted in the belief that well-being, belonging, and success are deeply interconnected. Recognizing that behavior, confidence, and growth are shaped by surrounding systems and relationships rather than just individual choices, she focuses on creating environments where both youth and adults feel seen, supported, and valued. Driven by the opportunity to help people move from “survival to possibility,” Nichole advocates for care that is both compassionate and practical. She believes sustainable change occurs when individuals are equipped with the right tools, structure, language, and support.
Why School Care Team?
Nichole joined the School Care Team out of a deep commitment to building holistic cultures of care. In her role, she weaves mental health, emotional awareness, connection, and practical support into the fabric of how schools serve students, families, and staff alike.
