Team MeMber

I believe communities are stronger when they work together and are equipped with the tools and support for overall mental wellness. Life is filled with ups and downs, twists and turns, and you never know when you will be in a mental health crisis of your own. Having community support and knowing you are not alone can truly make all the
difference!

Superpower of Choice
I loved watching Captain Planet as a kid, and being in nature is a huge part of my mental wellness. So if I had a superpower, it would involve taking care of our planet and nurturing Mother Earth! I would be able to point at the ocean and ZAP, all the pollution would be gone, or point at land and ZAP, a forest would be restored or thousands of native flowers would appear to feed our pollinators!

Education & Credentials

Bachelor’s in Human Services

Professional Background

Kacie has worked in the human services field for about 17 years with the majority of that experience supporting and learning from individuals with developmental and diverse abilities. She was a DSP and Program Manager in Medicaid Waiver Homes for about 5 years and moved into the field of ABA for 12 years as an RBT and Resource Manager. In these positions, Kacie loved teaching children and young adults a variety of daily living skills, emotional regulation, self-advocacy, and tools for independence. She has experience in crisis intervention and am always trying to create a safe space. She also had the opportunity to intern and volunteer with a bereavement non-profit, and learning about grief has not only helped Kacie to support others but also through her own grief journeys in life.

Motivation & Vision

In her previous roles, Kacie worked with children who endured intense adverse experiences, and she saw how creating a caring, safe space fostered emotional and personal growth and healing. She is motivated to come to work every day because she has seen firsthand how the tools we teach and instill in children can improve self-esteem and resilience, and make a lasting impact on their lives.
