She is also a generous teammate and natural connector, bringing the right people together and helping teams work better across roles.

Education & Credentials

Bachelor's Degree in Public Safety Management from Indiana University

Professional Background

Courtney joins our team with ten years of experience in Emergency Management, focusing on implementing training scenarios for first responders and hospital clinicians, managing federal grant, and responding to different natural hazards across the state of Indiana. Working in Emergency Management helped Courtney realize the importance of building and sustaining, sincere and genuine relationships with community stakeholders. She also spent time as a Federal Contractor supporting FEMA National Exercise Division where she developed, implemented, and conducted different natural and technological hazards training scenario across the US. Her unique experience in the social space is a strong asset for the SCT team.

Motivation & Vision

For the first ten years of Courtney’s career, she focused on supporting communities to ensure that both first responders and community leaders had the necessary tools to make effective decisions in high-stress environments. Now, she is shifting her focus to helping teachers, community members, and, most importantly, our youth while leveraging her network to share preventive resources with these partners to mitigate catastrophic events in their communities.
